Who Can Access Admin Settings
Only users with Admin roles or equivalent permissions can view and change admin settings in August.
Admin access typically includes:

- Template, Playbook, and workflow configuration
- Data governance and retention settings
- Workspace wide defaults
If you believe you should have admin access but do not see admin options, contact your firm’s August administrator or IT lead.
How to Open Admin Settings
- In the August web app, select your profile icon or your organization name in the navigation bar.
- From the dropdown or sidebar, choose Admin Settings, Workspace Settings, or Settings and Configuration depending on your firm’s naming.
- You will land on the admin dashboard, which includes multiple sections such as Users, Permissions, Integrations, Templates, Security, and Data Policy.
- Some sections may be restricted based on your admin tier. Users with higher level permissions such as Super Admin or IT Admin may see additional configuration areas.

I do not see Admin Settings You may not have admin rights. Contact your firm’s administrator.
Permission or integration changes are not saving Confirm you selected Save or Apply Changes. Some updates may require re authentication or a short delay.
External repository will not connect Check credentials, repository access rights, and firewall settings.
Users are not receiving invites Verify email accuracy, confirm SSO provisioning, and check whether spam or mail filters blocked the message.
Retention rules are not running Ensure the rule is active and applies to the correct scope. Confirm that background clean up tasks have permission to run.
